Today is the day to do it.

Often times, people decide to live for themselves while they are young.
"Eat, drink, and be merry."
Then at the grand old age of seventy-two, they plan to get saved, go to church, and be a "good" person.
There's just one problem...
We were never promised tomorrow.

I was hit hard two weeks ago when a young man died.
I never met him personally, but some of my friends were very close to him and his family.
He didn't die of old age. He didn't die of an illness. He died of a water-skiing accident.
We often forget how fragile life is.
We live day after day, putting important things off until tomorrow.
But we were never promised tomorrow...

As I sat at my computer reading posts on FaceBook of this young man--his representation of Christ, his love for Jesus, and his impact that he made on hundreds of lives--tears ran down my face. He was only nineteen years old, but he didn't waste his time here on earth.
He lived his life like we were never promised tomorrow...

Am I living my life every day for God? Am I being the example Christ called me to be? Am I being a light in my church, my school, and my city?

If you knew tomorrow that you were going to die, what would you do?
I'm not saying go jump on a plane to Disney World because you may not have the chance. But those family members or friends that you haven't talked to in months because of a certain issue. That neighbor that God has put on your heart to tell about Jesus. The list goes on. We may tell God, "I'll do it later. I'll do it later."
But where in the Bible does it say that we were promised tomorrow...

Just do it. Shine your light. Be that example. Rise up. Go.
Live for Jesus today because we were never promised tomorrow.

By His grace, we can walk again.

Failure isn't falling down. Failure is falling down and staying there.

Now we can sing.

We are the saints.
We are the children.

We've been redeemed.

We've been forgiven.
We are the sons and the daughters of our God.

Five Things I Couldn't Live Without

Day 7.

These answers are excluding God, family, friends, love, etc.

1. My Bible

2. Music.

3. My camera. His name is Joseph. He aggravates me on occasion but is quite enjoyable most of the time. I do not have a picture of him at present.

4. Books.

5. A dictionary.

Fill us with Your heart

Date....June 20.
Starting time....1:26.
Mood....A bit distressed.
Outside my window....Sunny.
I'm thinking....That I complain too much.
I'm reading....The Resurrection by Mike Durand. Trying out a new author.
I'm listening to....The squeaky shoes from the basketball game on tv.
Yesterday I....Went to church. It was awesome. Went to a family-get-together for Father's Day. It was loud and chaotic but fun as usual.
I'm excited for....The day I meet my Jesus in the clouds. Yeah, folks. It's gonna be awesome.
I'm sad because....Of families that are being torn apart. When parents get divorced, it really does affect the kids. It breaks my heart.
I'm hungry for....Lunch. I haven't eaten yet.
I'm trying....To use the word "awesome" more sparingly and to use it only when pertaining to God-things. Because in reality, God-things are the only things that are awesome.
I'm realizing....This world needs more love. This world needs more hope. This world needs more Jesus.
The song stuck in my head is...."Father, Will You Come"
I want....To be more diligent.
I love....Taking care of kids. They are so cute and say the funniest things.
I hate....That a lot of my friends have to live hours away. Cause I really want to see them.
This week my goal is to....Finish packing and be in Texas on Thursday. We're roadtrippin' it. Break out the cheetos, double A batteries, and Lydia Stanley/Chris Tomlin/Matt Maher cds.
Did I meet last week's goal? Ish.
Ending time....1:46
